Cantina Falesco is a winery and vineyard established in Montecchio (Umbria region) and it has been chosen as pilot site because it represents a “state-of-the-art winery” with an annual production of almost 3 million bottles and can be considered a pioneer in the Italian wine industry because of its expertise in every aspect of the business, from growing techniques, to technological innovations, to winemaking to marketing.

The estate straddles the border of Lazio and Umbria, about 80 km north of Rome. They cooperate with dozens of other Italian wineries having a reputation for excellence in vineyard operations, modern winemaking techniques and wine marketing. An area of 1 hectare within the vineyard will be used to carry out the tests.
