About Our Project

Precision Viticulture

Vineyards can require lots of external inputs (water, pesticides and fertilizer) to reducebiotic and abiotic stressors and to ensure grape production.

Project Actions

The project will be implemented in 8 main actions in a period of 38 months.

true

Aerial Drone

A remote-controlled aircraft component equipped with sensors

Terrestrial Rover

An innovative autonomous terrestrial electric rover moving along the vineyard

Ground Station and Sensors Platform

A sensors platform for real time monitoring

IoT Platform and Software

Advance IoT Data Analytics and processing

The Prototype

Implementing Innovative Prototypes

The main objective of the project is to implement an innovative system for Precision Viticulture (PV)and test its validity in 2 pilot sites having different characteristics and in different conditions.

Objectives of the project

Main Key Impact Indicators of the Project

Winegrover will allow to reduce the use of pesticides, fertilizers, water, fuel consumption and also reducing CO2 emissions, ammonia, PM emissions and the risk of eutrophication.

Reduction of Pesticides

Reduction of Fuel and PM

Reduction of Fungicide

Reduction of Irrigation Water

Reduction of KgCO2eq/ton grape

Reduction of production costs

The LIFE Programme

Action Grants for Pilot and Demonstration Projects

The LIFE programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action created in 1992. The current funding period 2014-2020 has a budget of €3.4 billion. LIFE co-finances projects in the environmental sector in particular in the areas
